How to turn your circumstances to opportunities

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Are you currently experiencing some challenges or you are desperately searching for a solution to a problem? Do know that you are not in this alone. Some people had the same experiences one time or the time and were able to turn their situation into a business venture.

What is the first Step?

The first step is for you to separate yourself from the situation or challenges at hand. Focus on turning the situation around. Problems are created to be solved. And the more challenges you have, the more opportunities you have. Too often you focus on the challenges and fail to see that there are numerous opportunities right in front of you.

A friend once found himself in a situation where he was desperate to get a job. He had finished from the university 2 years earlier and still had not been able to get a job despite the fact that he graduated with Second Class upper division from one of the top federal universities. He, however, decided to try his hand on selling recharge card. Today, he is happy that he took that step. He works at his pace and still makes in a week what he may not be able to earn as one month salary. Continue Reading »

There is a science to get rich

Have you ever asked yourself the question why it seems things are only working for some set of people? I once asked myself this question and later find out that these set of people are only pressing the right buttons. Our world comprises people who have tasted success, people whose life is success – personified and those who understand what it means to be a success in life. Why is then that so many people are still far behind?

The simply truth is that some people know how to press the right buttons. They have mastered the art of getting whatsoever they want, how they want it, when they want it and in what quantity they want it. The funniest thing is that these same set of people live in our environment. We even meet with them at some of the major restaurants in town. But still, we have not asked ourselves the ultimate question – what is it that they are doing that is making them successful? Continue Reading »

How to move with your cheese

How do you handle the change in your life? Change is constant. Do you move with your cheese or you just allow things to happen its way? Spencer Johnson, in his book “Who moved my cheese?“, described Cheese as a metaphor for what you want to have in life whether it is a good job, a loving relationship, money, or spiritual peace of mind. Cheese is what you think will make you happy, and when circumstances take it away, different people deal with change in different ways.

Four characters in this delightful parable represent parts of ourselves whenever we are confronted with change. Discover how you can let change work to your advantage and let it lead you to success! The book focuses on how four characters live in a maze and look for cheese to nourish them and make them happy. The maze is where you spend time looking for what you want. It may be the organization you work in, the relationships you have in your life, or the community you live in. Continue Reading »

Grow Up!

Sola is 27 years old and finished from the university almost 3 years ago. He entered the university the same year he finished from secondary school and was fortunate to finish within the top 5% of his class. He has always had his parents made things work for him. His mumsie is the type that does not want any of her children to go through any form of stress in life. Everything was working for him until recently when it seems that he is beginning to see the other side of live .

Sola has been at home for the past 3 years with no job. He had always thought that he would just walk out of the university to a waiting job. He soon discovered that there is more to life than that. To make the matter worse, he stills waits on his parents to get him his so-much desired job.

I know Sola is not the only one in this situation. I have seen people who finish from school and all they could think of is to sit down at home and patiently hope that their uncle or aunts somewhere would help them to get a job. No clear direction of what they want to do in life. They only hope that things could always get better. No wonder, they have been at home since then. Life is all about give and take not about TAKE & TAKE. God created this world to be governed by the principle of Sowing and Reaping. Until a seed goes to the ground, nothing comes up. Beyond Friday

What do you do beyond Friday? Do you just mark time or have a sense of urgency to solve a problem or provide a solution with your time? Today is Friday and I am really happy because it does not only connotes the official end of activities at work but a time to reflect and get more energy. Friday always presents an opportunity to reflect on the activities of the week and at the same review the plans ahead. This helps you to remain on track in the midst of so many activities demanding for your attention.

There is a lot of noise about Fridays and whether you believe it or not, you look forward to this day every week. An average employee looks forward to Friday. This week Friday has come. The question is, “what are you going to do this weekend?” Are you just going to enjoy the weekend or engage the weekend? The choice is yours. But remember, “who you are today is a combination of the decisions you made yesterday and the corresponding actions”. Start today to create the future you so desire.
