Are you currently considering going for your MBA? Do you know what to do? Even if your answer is YES, read on. In December 2003, I decided to go for an MBA. I did a search online for tips on how to get into the top MBA schools but all the information I got were not easily accessible.  I went through the application process and started my MBA in September 2007.

I took the GMAT examination in October 2005 and scored a 650 (90th Percentile). This is not a bad score considering the fact that I studied for the GMAT without the assistance of an expensive test prep class over the course of 21 days. I submited my applications to 3 top Business Schools without the help of any admission consultant. Can you find someone who will buy your business idea? Usually, when people first come up with an idea for their business they assume they could then sell their idea to everyone, everywhere. The trick here is to try and find the groups of people or businesses that will buy from you, and work out WHY they will buy your product or service.

What need are you fulfilling and how will people benefit from buying from you? There are many sources of information that can help you discover whether there is a market for your business idea. Let me first say Happy New year to you and congratulation for making it over to this new year. 2007 was great but 2008 will be greater. It is a year to match action with our words. At the end of every year, people seek to have new year resolution. They seek to change one thing or another about themselves but for me it goes beyond having a new year resolution. It is all about initiating change and affecting my generation. It is about going to the next level.

In 2002 when I was leaving university, I had not only a DREAM but detailed steps of how to achieve my dream. Looking through the plan once again in December 2007, I see new reasons why I can’t but act on the plans in 2008. One thing I have been able to discover in these few past months is that ‘You are the architect of your life‘. It is high time people started taking charge of their destinies. Continue Reading »
