Are you ready to walk on Water?

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

A young man once boasted that he could walk on water. Everybody in the village was actually surprised not only because they believed it would be an impossible task for the guy but also because nobody had done it before.

The fact that nobody has done it before does not mean that it can not be done.

The man went ahead to fix a date when he would be able to show everybody that he could actually walk on water. Continue Reading »

Do you have what it takes to run a successful business?

“All objects remain in a state of rest until a force is applied” Newton’s law of motion

This is true of many of our aspirations in life. Things will definitely not move until we move. Action orientation is a major requirement for success. The question now is “How do I start?” or “where do I start from?” Even now, I know you are still battling with that question in your mind. Continue Reading »

Planning Is Winning

Published by User ImageEmmanuel under Choice, Decision, Personal, Planning

How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time!”

Your ability to plan well, in advance, is a measure of your overall competence. The better the plan you have, the easier it is for you to overcome procrastination, to get started , and then to keep going. Always remember that you have to win on paper first before you can win in the business world.

The first stage in creating a winning plan is to have a list. Always work from a list. This will help you to stay focused and to maximise your time. Continue Reading »

Don’t let your environment limit you

I got this in the mail today and I feel like sharing it with all. Have you heard about the frog that was born at the bottom of a well? He thought life couldn’t get any better till one day he looked up and saw daylight. Climbing up to investigate he was amazed to find a much larger pond than the one he lived in. And going further afield he discovered a lake that was bigger again.

The frog eventually came to the ocean and all he could see was water. It dawned on him just how limited his thinking had been. He thought everything he needed was down in the well, but that was a drop in the bucket compared to the things that were out there for him to enjoy. Continue Reading »

Building the Brand that You need

I agreed totally with Deolu that Visibility is more important that Abillity. Irrespective of your training, skills, education and experience, if you’re not seen in the right way by the right people, over and over again, you will lose business to lower-quality competitors who are more visible. This applies to you if you are working in an organisation.

I had an experience that changed my life. I was involved in some projects at one time and executed the tasks very well without any interaction with the management. Someone laid claim to the glory. I later found this out but I had myself to blame. Why? I used to work behind the scene but I have since learnt that you need visibility to climb the corporate ladder. Continue Reading »
