It is quite so unfortunate to note that many people just live with no picture of where they are going or what lies ahead. They exist merely with nothing to show forth for their existence. The only thing they know how to do best is to mark time. This is clearly seen in the way many manage their time. It is worth remembering that a week from now it will be a week from now and what becomes of you after then is determined by how you utilise your time right now. Whether you manage it well or not, either way, you will surely achieve a certain result only that the result might not be what you expected.
Start by reducing some of time’s best enemies. Probably the strongest of those has just two initials “TV”. Is your TV time cutting into your productive time? Take this little test. Estimate how many hours of TV you watched last week. Be honest with yourself. On average, people spend 20 to 30 hours watching TV every week no thanks to movie industry that are being released into the market almost every week. If you reduce that even by a little, you have more time to take the actions that will lead you towards success. What about the time spent just surfing the Internet with no end result? Many times we just sit down behind the computer system wasting away the precious gift of time God has given us. An average person spends most of his/her time online in the chat room chatting with people they know nothing about from Adams. Continue Reading »

I so much love the eagle. You see, this king of the birds spends time alone to refuel itself after exhaustion. It glides to a far mountain, where it sheds all its feathers, grows from within brand new ones and then gets ready for the sojourn. At some points in your life too, you attain a plateau, a place of temporary rest for renewal. You have got to create your plateau scenario and withdraw into your shell… a place for you to pull yourself back together after much stress.
Take it as a break to ensure that you are sure of what you are sure of. Things to dwell on may include what you really think you should do. What are your strengths? And / or weaknesses? Ever heard of SWOT analysis? Which stands for Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats? You have to withdraw to your shell sometimes and get to interact with yourself, pick a break off the noise and see the news you could make of yourself.
Use this opportunity well.

Do you feel like there’s a huge gap between your present job and your ultimate career destination? You say,
“Yes, I’d like to be a consultant, but that means I’d have to go back to school and finish my degree. That would take years!” “Sure, I’d love to switch careers, but this job has security; I don’t think I could take the risk.” “It would be fun to try and market my own product, but I don’t know how to get started.”
